Issue Do I pronounce it their way? Guidelines
If you are facing printed words in non-Roman alphabets (Chinese, Russian, Japanese), get expert advise. I'd suggest that even though you are almost sure you know how to pronounce them. Record the correct sound and practice it. Make your own recording of it and compare the sounds, then get the expert to correct any mistakes. Finally, write out an English approximation.
and the Russian word for "you're welcome" is close to puh-djal-stuh (emphasis on djal). 'dj' sounds something like the "g" in genre. There are pronunciation-related websites. Since they come and go, I don't want to list a link that will be dead tomorrow. Better that you use a search engine. |
