| Main / Your Production Monitor | |
|
Read By The Author |
I am going to refer to your production monitor (your PM) to cover a lot of roles: the director, producer or whatever. The Key Point: Assure your PM that it is okay to stop you, and that you want him to stop you if you mess something up. Apologize profusely in advance for anything you may say (and how you say it) out of frustration later on. Go over the things you want your PM to do:
Active listening is hard work. If your PM asks for a break, do it right away. Don't put it off for more than a couple of minutes, and don't try to talk him out of it. If your PM has a glazed look on his face, call for a break. Everyone should get up and stretch when you do. Don't let your PM sit there writing notes instead. |
